Throughout her public service career, Ms. Cook has worked to enhance community economic development in several states and local governments including Washington, DC, New Jersey, St. Louis, and San Francisco. Her interest in community economic development has also taken her to several countries in Europe and Africa to assist in local business development. She has also served the residents of the District of Columbia as an Infrastructure Planner in the Policy and Planning Office of the District Department of Transportation. Her real estate career is grounded in her intimate knowledge of DC neighborhoods and communities. Samira is an agent that knows DC and knows DC's future. Ms. Cook received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts and her Master of Public Administration degree from The George Washington University located in Washington, DC. Ms. Cook is an active member of her Hillcrest, DC community and is a Board Member of the Brandywine Street Association.
