A DC area native, Courtney Brown comes to Senate with strong ties to the community. After graduating from Howard University with a B.B.A in Management in 2005, Courtney decided to forgo her career at a local government contracting firm to give back as a teacher within DC Public Schools. In Spring of 2009, Courtney conferred her M.A in Secondary Special Education from the George Washington University. An avid member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, a service sorority, she seeks to empower the community in which she lives and works through dedication and hard work.
